Fame and Rank
I have looked around quite a bit for these answers, and came up empty handed. What arenas can u gain fame in? How many fame pts do u need for different levels of rank? What is an easy way to earn fame?

No, get a good team. Then you will actually win in a good way, not in a useless way.
A well coordinated team = win with honor not cookie cutter builds.

I belive in honor in mmorpg's. Another easy way to get fame is to make a monk, you get surprisd how many groups who wants a Boon prot monk

Yeah, and we all know that mf is not a cookie cutter build. (sarcasm)
MF is the one build that takes less skill than Iway.
Fame is gotten from wins in tombs, faction comes from any arena. If you have a good guild, or a friend that will let you join them then try for a real build. If you don't Iway still gets faction the fastest.
I don't think it's mindless, it's just that it's easy and by now most people know what they're supposed to do. Even if you get one newcomer he can't mess it up too much, if he dies he feeds the iway.
I think I get faction the fastest in randoms, just because my guild doesn't pvp as much as I like and randoms is pretty easy to build a good character and win. in a guild that pvp's a lot faction is really easy.

This has been changed to Heros Ascent Arena. Tombs now is a PvE farming area, I dont know how long this change will be in effect. But as of now Hall of Heros is a map in Heros Ascent Areana on the battle isle, this is the only arena that gives fame.

IWAY is the best way to farm fame, it's true. Though most people who have pride and think rank should mean something (Like myself) DIDNT IWAY TO RANK 3!

I find it sort of annoying that people who gained their rank through IWAY gained it with very little skill and in a fraction of the time it took me, yet have an equal status. But this has been discussed before... :-P

I wish i didnt have principles :P
about 90% of teams run IWAY, and the ones who dont all seem to be guilds or mates which dont wanna risk a randie, i can see why people turn to IWAY to farm fame, its more Anet's fault for not balancing the game.

Laffin Anet even put an AI IWAY team in the game now. Laffin and you think it's unbalanced?? Laffin I think Anet likes IWAY and it's a great way to gain rank so it also helps those who are shunned by those who have higher ranks and think they are some kind of elites now. Way to go Anet make it fun and easy for everyone. (smile)

Iway is the best way to get Fame, but it isn't that good. You will win 1-2 games sure, but as soon as you lose half the party is gone anyway. Iway is a great way to get up to rank3, but after that I enjoy balanced more. Once your rank3 its eaiser to get into groups.
Even Iwaying to rank 4-5 can really help for getting into real groups that actually go for the HoH win. Iway isn't the best build for the final HoH match (maybe its why America never has favor.............)

Using one particular build is a bit boring for me, considering how many fun ones are always becomign known and created. And to be honest I've found that the current sling of IWAYs is nowhere near as destructive as their original counterparts. I find it slightly humerous that everyone labels IWAY as stupid not because it sucks but because it's "easy"...in that case shouldn't 55 Monks be labeled as the same? Just find it a bit hypocritical is all. I mean both are made from well known templates and neither is original.

With so many IWAY groups out there start a balanced group. There are topics about anti IWAY builds. Use them and you will get fame much faster than using IWAY.

I don't get why ppl are so irritated by it, its easy to counter and it helps ppl getting a higher rank so that they can join the "better" groups.
I found it very fun playing IWAY from time to time, not for fame farming but just because its fun beeing able to play in tombs and not searching 30min for ppl for the right build...
Why are you so irritated because of IWAY? because most of you ppl already had rank 3 - 6 and were these types of players: r6 group looking for r3++ emote at fighter henchman... haha !! what a laugh, I came across many of these in tombs and they were sometimes worth less then ppl who had fame 10
I reached with 5 10 famers in my party (I was r4) we reached 2 times hall of heroes (without skipping).
oh well, maybe this is just a stupid discussion

there's nothing wrong with iway. it serves a good purpose by keeping monks on their toes and teaching them a few things. like kiting.
